Jim Efird is a professional statistician with over 15 years experience in the field.  Jim has assumed the position of  Chief Statistician for RestaurantInsights.com.  Jim earned his Ph.D in Epidemiology (Bio-Statistics) from Stanford University.  Jim also holds an M.S. degree in Statistics from California State University and a B.S. degree in Psychology from UCLA.   

Jim’s experience includes positions as Senior Statistician for Roche Global Development Corporation and Director of Quantitative Modeling & Outcomes Research for the Harvard Medical School.  Additionally, Jim has authored or co-authored over 50 published scientific and statistical articles and is in the process of writing and publishing a SAS statistical textbook.  He is a past Chairperson of the Boston Area SAS Users Group and current Chairperson of the San Francisco Bay Area SAS Users Group.
