Menu Design Research
Two types of menu research design methodologies are available from Restaurant Insights:
Pre-Implementation research â  an online survey using category and brand consumers to evaluate menu design, product offerings and prices before the proposed menu is introduced. Some elements that are measured include, but not limited to:
- Overall visual appeal
- Appeal of product photos
- Appeal of product descriptions
- Menu organization
- Readability of print
- Image/perception communicated by menu
- Value of menu offeringâ
- Future visit intent
- âClick on imageâ
Post-Implementation research – a paper or smartphone survey given to customers inside the restaurant. This survey asks customers to assess the menu they just used to place their order.
